Sangean Turns 40

Sangean WR-11SE

Sangean is marking the company’s 40th year of operation with a special edition tabletop receiver.

The manufacturer of consumer radios has introduced a commemorative edition of its WR-11 wooden tabletop AM/FM analog radio. The WR-11SE is designed with a walnut veneer finish, gold face and rear plates and highlighted with the Sangean 40th anniversary logo.

It’s available for what the company says is a limited time for a list price of just under $140 at dealers like Fry’s Electronics, Bed, Bad & Beyond, and SCMS.

Los Angeles-based Sangean USA designs and manufactures AM/FM, HD Radio and DAB and DAB+, Internet, shortwave and long-wave receivers. Available features include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capability.

In addition to table radios, Sangean makes units that can be used in the shower, as well as pocket, portable and utility tuners.
