HD Radio Technology Seminar Scheduled

The Alabama Association of Broadcasters through its ABA Engineering Academy has scheduled an HD Radio technology seminar, May 24, at its ABA Training Center in Hoover, Ala.

The free all-day HD Radio Seminar will feature Frank Foti of the Telos Alliance and Jeff Welton of Nautel.

Foti will “discuss in detail proper configuration for analog and digital processing.” According to a release, Foti says that “the biggest problem with HD Radio is that engineers are still setting their digital processors the way analog processors are set up … That is incorrect … Digital processors are completely different.”

Welton, Nautel sales manager for U.S. Central Region, “will open the lid and take the mystery out of HD Radio technology.” In addition, “importers, exporters and Exgine will be discussed in detail. Proper set up, configuration and maintenance will be covered.”
