Monaco Tests DAB+

Monte Carlo Radiodiffusion, part of radio and television transmission service provider TDF, began testing via terrestrial digital radio in Monaco at the end of April, according to Digital Radio Numérique.

The trial broadcasts, which use the DAB+ standard and will last for one month, cover both the principality, as well as the coastal areas of France ranging from Menton to Cap d'Antibes.

Stations participating in the trials include RMC, Radio Monaco, RMC 1 RMC 2, Riviera Radio, Radio Chik, Ethic and Radio Rete 105.

On June 20, the official terrestrial radio service will launch in Paris, Marseille, Nice and the surrounding areas. Radio Monaco will also be carried on the DAB+ multiplex for Paris.
