IBC Sneak Peek: AEQ Adds to IP Family

AEQ plans to show a number of new and upgraded products at IBC2014.

These include the AEQ Systel-IP and the AEQ AoIP system. Systel-IP features a set of multiline on-air communications for talkshow and multi-conference call systems. Based on VoIP technology, Systel-IP comes in a four-line version for the management of up to two studios and a 12-line version designed for the control of up to four studios.

Also on show at the AEQ stand will be the AoIP system. A complete solution that links consoles and routers, the system shares up to 512 audio channels over a Gigabit Ethernet network. It transports synchronized audio with inaudible latency, says the firm, explaining that it has developed 32 I/O channel modules for the Forum, Gran Forum and the Arena digital mixing consoles. It has also conceived a 16-channel I/O solution for the Capitol IP digital mixing console.

Providing IP connectivity for existing installations as well as a link when building new AoIP networks, AEQ’s Netbox solution comprises a 32-channel AoIP interconnection interface for central controls and an eight-channel solution for existing analog or digital studios.

The Spanish company will also display the Phoenix Strato rackmounted double full-duplex audio codec for versatile IP+ISDN functioning; the Capitol IP digital mixing console with enhanced control surface; and the Sonata four-band digital on-air processor. The unit, which incorporates a clock for automatic preset change and an Internet remote control and configuration, includes 20 factory presets.
