“Shotgun Tom” Kelly to Host Marconi Radio Awards
     

The 2013 NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner and Show will be hosted by radio personality “Shotgun Tom” Kelly on Sept. 19 at the 2013 Radio Show.  

Kelly has spent 40 years in radio and television, work for which he was acknowledged in April with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He currently anchors the afternoon drive shift at CBS Radio’s KRTH(FM), also known as K-EARTH 101. He has spent 16 years in Los Angeles radio. He previously worked at stations in San Diego, including KGB(AM), KCBQ(AM) and KFMB(FM).

He has also been recognized for hosting children’s television programs, including nationally syndicated “Words-a-Poppin,’” as well as “Kids Club,” which ran for 12 seasons. He also has won multiple Emmy Awards as outstanding host.

His voice has also been featured in national TV and radio commercials, and he also appeared in “Déjà Vu” alongside Denzel Washington. He also narrates TV programs “A 1000 Ways to Die” and “America’s Most Wanted.”

Named for Guglielmo Marconi, NAB Marconi Radio Awards have been given to radio stations and on-air personalities to recognize excellence in radio since 1989.

The Radio Show, produced by the NAB and the RAB, is Sept. 18–20, at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Fla.
