A Shiny New Codec from APT

Codec maker APT has a released a new codec, one aimed more at the dedicated point-to-point market.
The IP Audio Silver is a set-and-forget IP codec aimed at such jobs as STL. As such simplicity is the watchword. Housed in a half-rack box, IP Audio Silver offers Ethernet and XLR connectors. Digital formats accepted by the standard model include Enhanced apt-X, MPEG Layer II and MP3. Options include MPEG 4 HE-AAC v2, AAC LD and AAC LC. It is N/ACIP-compliant.
Silver offers 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz digital performance along with 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600 and 19,200 baud rates. Four automated alarms are available. An SD card slot provides content for failovers.
Silver can be remotely controlled via Web browser or SNMP. And it can be tasked to basic multipoint distribution.
Redundant power supplies are an option.
