ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium on Tap

The 2013 ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium will be held in Kuala Lumpur March 5–8.

The event is organized by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, and Digital Radio Mondiale Consortium is its principal sponsor. Harris, WorldDMB Forum, Sony, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, Grass Valley and Snell are designated as the event’s major sponsors.

The Institut Penyiaran dan Penerangan Tun Abdul Razak, which is the media-training institute of the Ministry of Information and a division of the Malaysian government’s Communication and Culture, is also a co-sponsor. The symposium is organized around the theme “Next-Gen Media Space and the Connected World” and is the ninth in a series of annual symposiums intended to smooth the digital transition.

The 2013 symposium will feature presentations by experts, panel discussions and workshops, as well as an exhibition showcasing products and services. Several side-events will provide opportunities to industry leaders to convey their message to broadcasters and the industry at large.
