APMG Names New CFO
     

Morris Goodwin American Public Media Group

American Public Media Group has named Morris Goodwin as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

In his role at APMG, Goodwin will be responsible for the management and oversight of the financial operations for all entities within the family of companies that make up American Public Media Group: Minnesota Public Radio, American Public Media, Classical South Florida and Southern California Public Radio. He will lead all finance areas including management reporting and regulatory external reporting, budgeting and forecasting, all daily accounting functions and financing/investing activities.

Goodwin is a longtime member and former trustee of Minnesota Public Radio, a subsidiary of APMG.

He has more than 30 years of financial experience in investment management, e-commerce, commercial and investment banking and nonprofit organizations. Most recently, Goodwin served as vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer for the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation in St. Paul, Minn. Previously, he held executive and financial leadership positions at Chase Manhattan Bank, the city and county of San Francisco, Morgan Stanley, American Express Financial Advisors (and IDS Bank & Trust), Deluxe Corporation, Vivius and The Hogan Company.

Goodwin is the chairman of the board for the Search Institute and serves on the boards of Twin Cities Rise, Charities Review Council and African American Leadership Forum. He also is a member of the University of Minnesota Policy Advisory Committee and co-leader of the Diaconate Commission, Episcopal Church of Minnesota.

American Public Media Group combines multiregional station operations, national content creation and distribution in one organization. Its portfolio that includes “A Prairie Home Companion,” BBC World Service, “Marketplace” and classical music programming.
