Audio Research Becomes Axia Partner
Axia Audio has added French software firm Audio Research to its list of software partners.
Audio Research, makers of the Open Radio software suite, is now one of more than 40 broadcast technology companies making products that connect directly to Axia IP-Audio studio routing networks.
The company’s Open Radio software provides broadcasters in French-speaking countries complete management of radio broadcasting, including programming, traffic, music scheduling, live and automated broadcasting, and more.
Through the Axia partnership, Open Radio can offer its clients software solutions that include the Axia IP-Audio Driver, which, the firm says, allows computers to connect directly to Axia networks without the need for a PC sound card. Open Radio will also be able to provide broadcasters with integration services, which include complete Axia AoIP console and routing networks.
“Open Radio is perfectly interfaced with the Axia solution,” said Benjamin Aubry, sales manager of Audio Research. “Information exchange between our software and the Axia console is bidirectional, so we can provide a better level of communication between software and hardware,” he said.
“For example, Open Radio can send the Axia desk a list of audio elements that are in the queue, and their status — ready, playing, stopped, etc. Broadcasters have been waiting for the time when broadcast software and hardware would work intelligently together ... that time has arrived!”
