Award-Winner: Nautel VS Series Low-Power Transmitters

Radio World this month profiles the recipients of our 2010 "Cool Stuff" Award.
Nautel is big on the "ecosystem" concept, integrating other popular technologies into its products to build a comprehensive "environment" for its transmitters.
The new VS Series, a low-cost line, is an example; it offers IP audio I/O, Livewire support, Orban Inside option, an integrated digital exciter and USB playout engine for local playlists. It also supports streaming services such as SHOUTcast and RTP; and VS Series transmitters may be upgraded to HD Radio or DRM+ operation.
VS Series transmitters are compact, as small as 2 RU, and offer power levels from 300 Watts to 2.5 kW. Nautel's Advanced User Interface (AUI) is provided.
Nautel recommends the VS300 as a replacement for aging analog exciters.
