Clear Channel Names Mackall SVP of Visual Branding
     

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment has tapped longtime MTV executive Kevin Mackall as its new senior vice president of visual branding. He will report to Tom Poleman, president of national programming platforms.

Mackall will manage the company’s visual branding production, including station logos, television commercials, outdoor campaigns and brand packages for Clear Channel events. 

He has been a consultant for Clear Channel since 2011, working on creative visual projects such as the iHeartRadio Music Festival. A release said that Mackall will also work closely with John Sykes, president of entertainment enterprises for Clear Channel, on creative support for all television programming and properties, as well as original video content.

He has experience in creative leadership and visual branding and served as senior vice president of MTV On Air Promos for over a decade, where he led promotional campaigns, including “The Hills,” “The MTV Video Music Awards” and “The MTV Movie Awards.” His projects at MTV have garnered Emmy Awards, a Peabody Award, GLAAD Media Awards, Cable PositivePOP Awards, NAMIC awards and Promax/BDA Awards.
