St. Jude Children's Research Hospital said 32 Clear Channel stations will hold local radiothons to raise money to help its research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

Those 32 stations last year raised some $4 million to help St. Jude.

“Like most organizations, St. Jude has not been immune to the effects of the economy,” it said in its announcement. “Now more than ever, St. Jude needs the support of radio listeners to continue its mission of finding cures and saving children.”

The fundraisers will be held Feb. 11–12. Donors can contribute via any of the stations' Web sites or by calling (800) 345-4673.
