Closenow Helps Pennsylvania Stations

Gettysburg stations WGET(AM)/WGTY(FM) are using the CloseNow system from CGS Automation.
"With the winter we are having in Pennsylvania, the system is getting a lot of use," Cindy Ford, president of Times & News Publishing Co., told CGS. "The system collects all the announcements and allows the staff to work more efficiently."
The stations purchased CGS Automation's Closenow system prior to this winter.
The system is an aggregator of school closing news that uses information provided by school officials, either through phone calls or Web interface. The program provides info to station staff for on-air use and can automatically update a station's Web site with the same information.
Closenow also has an e-mail alert option for mobile media users.
