Remote control system developer and manufacturer Davicom is upgrading its MAC unit firmware and the overall MacNet network software.

MAC unit firmware is upgraded to 5.40. New features include MODBUS sensor interfacing, the ability to attach XML to alarm e-mails, upgraded logging tools and USB "reach-through."

The MacNet multisite alarm management software is running a smidge behind at its recent upgrade to 5.30. Though nominally trailing, 5.30 included Unicode support for GUIs to support multiple languages, a BitMap display option, improved map display features and improvement in alarm redirection performance and options.
