Dean Goodman to Buy NextMedia Stations

Dean Goodman’s Digity, an affiliate of Palm Beach Broadcasting, plans to buy most of NextMedia’s radio stations.

Digity announced that the deal is for the purchase of 33 NextMedia stations in eight markets: Chicago, Dallas, Milwaukee, San Jose, Calif., Greenville-New Bern-Jacksonville, N.C., Canton, Ohio, Saginaw, Mich. and Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The transaction also includes two additional stations in the Chicago area, which are currently held by The Mile High Station Trust that would be sold to Matrix Broadcasting.

The purchase price and terms were not disclosed.

The parties expect the deal to close in the first quarter of 2014, subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions.
