Eastern Airwaves Purchases Translator CPs

Curtis Media’s Eastern Airwaves continues to acquire FM translator construction permits in North Carolina.

The latest acquisitions are W285EU in Jamestown and W226BV in Durham. W285EU was obtained from Tri-Ad Family Network for $100,000 in December and W226BV came from Community Public Radio for $130,000.

The broker in both transactions was Chicago-based Bob Heymann of Media Services Group.

To the south, MSG’s Saint Simon’s Island, Ga.-based Eddie Esserman brokered Apex Broadcasting’s purchase of WGZO(FM), Parris Island, S.C., from L&L Broadcasting.
