EBU Holds Radio News, Journalism Forum

The 2014 edition of the Radio News & Journalism Conference will be held in Baden-Baden, Germany, September 18–19.

The gathering, organized by the European Broadcasting Union, will consider the role of public service broadcasters in a changing news market, with a special focus on understanding and engaging audiences.

The EBU Journalism & Radio News subcommittee sets the agenda in collaboration with Eurovision Media Online, which is also responsible for producing the event.

Sessions will explore how to reach younger audiences with news; understanding audiences and building brands; the changing news market; challenges for public service media; quality management in news and journalism; and reporting the spread of populist parties.

Attendees are also invited to visit SWR’s new E-Lab, which aims to develop innovative cross media formats for youth audiences.
