Ecreso Unveils Nephtys N+1 Redundant System

At IBC2013 Ecreso will launch the N+1 redundant system for its range of FM Transmitters that also features a warranty of up to 10 years.

With the sophisticated new control and switching unit, the Nephtys N+1, a broadcaster can run a single backup transmitter for up to eight transmitters operating from a single site. In the event of a failure, the Nephtys unit will quickly and automatically switch that unit’s output to the backup transmitter to ensure continuity of the broadcast.

The Nephtys control unit can be managed locally or remotely and includes TCP/IP for intuitive Web-based management, SNMP-based monitoring and control and access to the AMI.

Easy to install and maintain, the N+1 transmitter systems can be supplied as customized rack integrations, configurable to the broadcaster’s requirements.

Earlier this year, Ecreso also announced a 10-year warranty available on its compact range of FM Transmitters supported by the new Expert Maintenance Reporting service. The service enables identification of potential issues and preventive action and sends regular reports on the status of key parameters and performance of components.
