ESPN Promotes Cancer Research Foundation

ESPN, TV and Radio, is donating $1million to the endowment of the V Foundation for Cancer Research.

ESPN has long been involved with the V Foundation, including its founding with the late basketball coach Jim Valvano, who died of cancer. ESPN is also heavily involved in related events, summed up as Jimmy V Week.

Jimmy V Week includes a number of college basketball games and basketball-related specials. ESPN Radio will broadcast the games. Proceeds go to the V Foundation.
