European Commission VP to Keynote IBC2104

The IBC says European Commission Vice President Neelie Kroes will deliver the keynote address for the 2014 edition of its signature event.

Kroes has been tasked with determining Europe’s digital agenda since 2010. Her work has concerned issues ranging from abolishing mobile roaming charges to promoting 5G networks for increased wireless capacity.

Her speech will be held at the Forum at 6 p.m. Kroes will address “how she assesses the phenomenon of convergence between audio-visual and broadband, and the policy implications that it might have.”
