Hal Leonard Issues Second Edition of ‘Engineering & Producing’

Music industry book publisher Hal Leonard is releasing the second edition of “Producing and Engineering.”

For the budding George Martins out there, besides learning the basics of engineering and the ins and outs of life as a producer, the updated version “addresses some of the most important new considerations, such as social media, aggregators, making money in the current business climate, earning royalties from streaming and Internet radio stations, professional organizations and songwriter affiliations, and more.”

The book contains lessons, pointers, resource links, technical materials, Internet primers, business concerns and even examines the rapidly changing roles of engineer and producer in the modern digital/Internet age.

The book has an accompanying DVD. The author is the well-known writer, musician and teacher Bill Gibson. It is part of his series, “Recording Method.”
