Consumers Digest has chosen a JVC HD Radio for its “Best Buy” Award, given to products that offer value and merit special attention.

The KD-HDR50 CD Receiver features an HD Radio tuner with multicast capability and iTunes Tagging. The unit also features a USB 2.0 connection for iPod/iPhone with 2-way control and a front Aux input.

“Consumer demand for HD Radio is growing and we are thrilled to be on the cutting edge of this emerging technology,” said Bill Turner, vice president, JVC Mobile Entertainment.

Consumers Digest says its magazine is designed to inform and educate readers so they can buy products with confidence.

Too bad, this is the only in-dash HD Radio unit left at "Best Buy" that hasn't migrated to "HD Radio Ready", only - LOL!

Yeah and what they never mention is that most, if not all, HD radios eventially sell at clearance at a fraction of their original price. I agree more B.S.

BTW, This is not Consumer Reports, which is published by the non-profit organization Consumers Union -- and which forbids use of its ratings in advertising and sales brochures! Check this quote from Wikipedia: "Consumers Digest is an American for-profit magazine that allows companies to use its reviews for marketing purposes." Tricky name huh?

This is just more crap and posturing by iBiquity and their proponents to give the illusion that digital radio is on the verge of a consumer explosion. It's the usual B.S. brought to you by IBiquity and friends. People who understand what's happening see right through the noise.
