IDC Brings Second Gen Star Pro to Asia

International Datacasting will show the second generation of its Star Pro Audio solution for the first time in Asia in Singapore, June 18–21, at CommunicAsia2013 in stand 1D2-04.

This new solution provides localized ad insertion through copy split capability and enables time shifting, says the company. Shared hub support enables multiple radio networks to share one four-channel receiver instead of having each network deploy its own stand-alone, single channel receiver.

According to the company, it also uses up to 70 percent less bandwidth compared to competitive solutions, requiring only a 120 kHz space segment for stereo.
