Max Media Adds iPhone and BlackBerry
|
Virginia-based Max Media, owner and operator of some 50 TV and radio stations, is making available mobile media apps for iPhone and BlackBerry platforms for three of its Virginia stations.
Virginia Beach FMs WGH, WVHT and WVBW are the recipients of the free apps, created by AirKast. The apps allow for live audio streaming as well as visual news/information/advertisement feeds.
Director of Interactive Media for Max Media Michael Connor said in the announcement, "We wanted listeners to access our stream via mobile devices, but with creative and feature-rich applications." He said AirKast lets the station offer local advertisers an easy way to deliver messages to our mobile audiences.
AirKast saidMax Media can now offer mobile content including such as loyalty programs for listeners and video spots for advertisers.
