McGavren Guild Replaces CEO

Media rep firm McGavren Guild Media has made a change at the top.

The board appointed Kevin Garrity as president and chief executive officer and terminated the employment of Lisa Sirotka-Sonnenklar. She had held the position five years. Her previous experience included 12 years as president of Allied Radio Partners and McGavren Guild Radio at Interep Radio Sales.

McGavren owner Genesis Media Holdings made the announcement. Genesis Chairman Shaun Newman said the change was made to “ better serve clients, drive innovations and new initiatives while focusing on improving client revenues. The change forms part of Genesis Media Holdings’ growth plan.”

Garrity joined Genesis in July as manager to focus on developing growth opportunities for the company’s properties. Before joining Genesis, Garrity was regional national sales manager- Northeast for Cumulus Broadcasting. He began his career as a sales rep for WABC(AM), New York in 1987. He was vice president of sales for Group W Radio Sales, then joined ABC Radio Sales in 1998 as New York sales manager; Garrity eventually rose to become president.
