New Radio Tech Sessions on Tap for NAB 2012
|
Two new radio technology
sessions are on tap at the spring NAB
Show.
New for 2012, “HD Radio for Managers and Engineers”
is on Monday, April 16.
The session from NAB
Labs includes a series of case studies addressing the business and engineering
details related to making the transition to HD Radio broadcasting, according to
NAB, which says “Non-technical issues will be covered along with actual
facility design and implementation success stories from broadcasters who have
met the challenge.”
The objective of the
workshop is to provide in-depth education on HD Radio from management and
engineering perspectives. Even existing HD Radio operators will benefit from
updated presentations covering the most recent developments, says the trade
association.
On Tuesday and
Wednesday, April 17 and 18, broadcasters can attend “Digital Strategies Exchange for Radio.”
In this workshop
within the Broadcast Management Conference, attendees can learn from their
peers and other industry experts on how new technologies and digital strategies
can impact their stations. Early adopters will provide insight on what (and
what not) to do when exploring and implementing new services, according to the
trade association. Some of the topics to be discussed are streaming, mobile
apps for radio, podcasting and HD Radio.
