NewBay Expands European Presence

Radio World
publisher NewBay Media announced several editorial and sales staff changes in
Europe.
Marguerite Clark
rejoins the company as editor-in-chief of Radio World International and
executive editor of TV Technology Europe. She worked in public relations for
Wall Street Communications; prior to that she was editor of Radio World
International for 12 years.
Based in Paris,
she will report to Paul McLane, broadcast editorial director of the Broadcast
& Video group, and will work with TV Technology Europe Associate
Publisher/Editor-in-Chief Mark Hallinger and Radio World International
Publisher Raffaella Calabrese.
“Marguerite Clark
is a veteran of the international broadcast scene, a multi-lingual
communications professional with ‘feet on the ground’ in Paris,” McLane said in
the announcement. “She will help Radio World, TV Technology and our advertisers
further serve broadcast radio managers and engineers in Europe, Asia, Oceania,
Africa, the Middle East, the Caribbean and Canada.”
The company also
announced two hires in Europe and a reorganization of its European sales
structure.
Graham Kirk,
formerly European sales manager of Audio Media, has been promoted to European
sales director of Audio Media, TV Technology, Government Video, Digital Video,
CreativePlanetNetwork and the NAB Show Daily News.
He’ll work with
Bob Kennedy, European sales manager of TV Technology, and new hire Lenette
Howard, who will have sales responsibility for Audio Media, TV Technology and
all video brands.Kirk reports to
Eric Trabb, VP/group publisher of the Broadcast & Video Group.
Howard, based in
Bexley, U.K., most recently was the media/advertising sales manager of BTC Ltd.
NewBay Executive
VP Carmel King said the changes in the company’s Broadcast & Video Group
are a reflection of NewBay’s growth not only through acquisitions but through
investment in its existing publications.
“Our European
business is well established,” King said, through TV Technology
Europe, Radio World International and Audio Media, supported by publishing
bases in England and Italy. “We see more opportunity in the region and we are
committed to building further here.”
