Omnia Shows Another One

The latest Omnia One digital processor, the Studio Pro, will be on display this month. Omnia calls it the first studio processor to include a four-band compressor/limiter.

The Studio Pro consists of the same hardware as sister Omnia One models but its collection of processing algorithms is different.

The main tools of the single-rack-unit device are a four-band AGC and four-band peak limiter. Preset algorithms are also included, and custom algorithms can be designed and saved. Other can be downloaded from the Internet.

An Ethernet connection allows for computer and Web-based remote control. As a Telos group product it is conversant with Axia's Livewire protocol. AES digital inputs and outputs, along with analog I/O round out the complement.

All Omnia One owners can download and add the processor algorithms from the other Omnia Ones (for FM, AM or DAB/multicasting duties).
