Pandora Claims 8% U.S. Listening

Pandora says it now has an 8% share of total U.S. radio listening.

In releasing its January audience figures, the Internet audio company claimed it had 65.6 million active listeners at the end of the month, up 38% from 47.6 million during the same period a year ago.

The company says Triton Digital data shows Pandora had 1.39 billion listener hours for January, up 47% from 952 million during January 2012.

Pandora’s figures are generated from Triton’s Webcast Metrics, which tracks server data from online streams.
