Preco Sells Orban Processor

Preco Broadcast Systems has announced the sale of the first Orban-FM 8600 processor in the U.K. to transmission services provider Arqiva.

Preco is the exclusive U.K. dealer for Orban’s broadcast processors.

Preco Director of Engineering and Technology James Thomas explained that a listening test shootout was held with multiple processors, including the Orban 8600. He said, “When the devices were set up the 8600 ran out the clear winner.”

Thomas said that Preco had liked the 8600 form the first time they heard it, “When we heard the 8600 for the first time, the improvements it makes to the HF sound were apparent right away and we knew that once customers actually heard the processor in operation it would sell itself.”
