A reminder that a deadline set by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration for its 2010 grants for the Public Telecommunications Facilities
Program is today, Thursday Feb. 4. Applications must be received by 5 p.m.
The PTFP funds construction of new public radio and television stations and facilities.
Most non-commercial radio stations fall under the Feb. 4 deadline; a second, Feb. 26, applies to radio applications for projects filed during the FCC NCE FM window.
The FCC is accepting applications for new NCE FM facilities only during Feb. 19–26, so the NTIA will provide time for FM applicants participating in that window to file both their PTFP and FCC applications.
