RTS Chooses Escenic CMS for Web

Radio Television Suisse, the francophone unit within Swiss public-service broadcaster SRG SSR idée suisse, is using a Vizrt content management system to control its vast media library.
RTS operates websites for its Television Suisse Romande (TSR) and Radio Suisse Romande (RSR) operations. Together the television and radio broadcasters have some 2 million legacy audio and video assets in their Dalet media asset management system.
A Vizrt Escenic Content Engine 5 solution will be used to store, organize and feed to the Web all text, images, audio, video and other digital assets used by RTS.
It took RTS more than 18 months to fully integrate the Escenic system, which replaced two legacy CMS systems. Cross Systems handled systems integration for the project.
Next, RTS plans to add an Escenic Community Engine to develop a social networking platform for the RTS sites and their users.
