State Funding for DRM+ Development in Norway

The Norwegian Media Authority has granted 25.340€ (US$33,400.65) to promote the development of DRM+ to 21st Venture, according to Community Media Forum Europe.

The company runs Radio Metro, a local commercial radio station broadcast in Oslo and other cities, including Romerike, Follo, Indre Østfold, Gjøvik, Lillehammer, Kongsberg, Hønefoss and Drammen. It also has radio assets in South Africa and Botswana.

Radio Metro will broadcast DRM+ over its FM frequency in Trondheim from April-June 2013, and the project will coincide with the Annual Conference of the Norwegian Local Radio Association.
