TM Studios Promotes Clancy to VP

TM Studios Greg Clancy

Dial Global has named Greg Clancy as its new vice president of creative for custom station jingle creators TM Studios. He will lead and direct the development of jingles, imaging and production music services marketed by the company.

“His charge is to continue to expand the TM sound, which we’ve focused on for the past year, and bring more new products to the marketplace, like our successful Country360 and K2 packages,” said Kirk Stirland, president of programming for Dial Global.

A Dallas-based first-call singer and producer for 25 years, Clancy began at TM Studios as a music director in 2006, and has been a creative director there since 2010.  He will work from TM’s offices/studios in Dallas, and oversee staff located there and in Valencia, Calif., and Denver, as well as contractors worldwide.

“I literally grew up running around the halls of TM and sneaking into vocal sessions to watch my dad and other jingle singers record, so I really ‘get’ the heritage and heft of the TM brand,” Clancy said.

The company also announced a restructuring initiative to bring the production directors at Dial Global’s 24-hour Format division under TM’s management.  Scot Kirk, Los Angeles-based senior creative director, will manage that team and report to Clancy.

“Greg and Scot are a perfect team to direct the company’s producers, composers and performers, and they’ve already got a solid plan to inject fresh energy into our creative process, through this reorganization,” said Stirland.
