TuneIn Adds MBC

Radio broadcast streaming web portal TuneIn has added MBC, South Korea’s oldest radio network, to its streaming choices. MBC, AKA Munhwa Broadcasting Corp., is one of four private broadcasters in South Korea, having started in 1959with a single AM station.

MBC Radio Managing Director Kim Don-hyo said, “Can’t listen to MBC because you don’t have an FM receiver? Radio has not disappeared. Thanks to a smartphone in your hand, smart TV in your living room, and computer in your office, all of these become a radio … With Tuneln, MBC Radio will be able to reach listeners who are further away.”

TuneIn says it has a selection of over 70,000 radio stations. TuneIn is available for computers, smartphones and smart TVs.
