EWTN Global Catholic and Evolution Added to iHeartRadio

God and dance are the latest additions to Clear Channel's platform

The EWTN Global Catholic Radio Network is now available on Clear Channel’s iHeartRadio menu. It is the first Catholic broadcaster to be available on iHeartRadio.

EWTN President and CEO Michael P. Warsaw stated in the announcement: “Our foundress, Mother Angelica, took the Lord’s command to carry His message to the ends of the earth seriously. Our partnership with iHeartRadio enables us to carry on that legacy using the latest in digital technology.”

EWTN Global Catholic Radio content is heard on hundreds of AM and FM stations in the U.S. and has an active Web presence.

Separately, another iHeartRadio addition just announced is Evolution, an electronic dance music station.

The station will be hosted by the Pete Tong of BBC Radio 1’s “Essential Mix” show. The iHeartRadio-exclusive station will feature a number of veteran and new DJs as guest hosts.

Tong said electronic dance music “has seen a major rise in popularity in North America over the past few years.”

Evolution will hit the streamwaves on Nov. 12. Saluting the launch will be a Nov. 14 concert with DJ/producer Afrojack at the iHeartRadio Theater presented by P.C. Richard & Son in New York City.
