The Madison Opera recently staged the 12th annual “Opera in the Park” for the city of Madison, Wis.

The event would not be possible without the sponsorship of Madison-based Full Compass. The professional audio, video, AV, lighting and musical instrument products supplier has been a major sponsor of the event since its inception, providing sustaining financial contributions and donating equipment rentals and expert audio guidance.

Opera in the Park is held at Garner Park’s natural hillside amphitheater. It presents highlights from the upcoming Madison Opera season, opera classics and Broadway show tunes aiming to please everyone from enthusiasts to first-timers.

Guest soloists Caitlin Cisler, Alexandra LoBianco, Nmon Ford and Brian Jagde, directed by Maestro John DeMain, performed selections Puccini’s “Tosca,” Donizetti’s “The Daughter of the Regiment” and modern American opera Jake Heggie’s “Dead Man Walking.” The 50-piece Madison Symphony Orchestra and 50-voice Madison Opera Chorus provided accompaniment.
