Jampro Goes to College

New antenna consolidate three FMs

Antenna maker Jampro is returning to an old haunt, Utah State University, in Salt Lake City. The company installed the school’s initial antenna system in 1973.

The new situation involves combining three FM signals for KUER — one analog and two HD Radio subchannels. A JAHD arrowhead dipole broadband panel antenna has been prescribed for the task. Additional Jampro equipment will also be used at the site — a whopping 12,000 feet above sea level.

Jampro President Alex Perchevich said, “We installed the station’s initial antenna system in 1973. Periodic upgrades and additions have extended their range and signal quality … We sincerely appreciate their loyalty and confidence in Jampro.”
