Kia Increases HD Radio Offerings

Automaker now offers digital radio technology on six models

Automaker Kia is expanding its HD Radio offering across more of its product line.

The 2014 Kia Cadenza will offer HD Radio technology as a standard item when it arrives at dealerships later this year.

The Cadenza will join other Kia models that feature HD Radio, like the 2014 Forte sedan and 2014 Sorento, as well as the 2013 Optima, Soul and Sportage models.

Kia Motors America’s Chief Technology Strategist Henry Bzeih says as the Kia brand has grown, so too has customers’ expectations of Kia features.

“Offering the outstanding audio quality of HD Radio technology on the new 2014 Cadenza premium sedan is further proof that Kia is poised to enter into this highly competitive segment,” says Bzeih.

Thirty-one automakers have now publicly announced plans to incorporate HD Radio Technology in 160+ models by year-end. More than 80 of those models will feature HD Radio receivers as standard equipment.
