We believe that since the airwaves belong by law to the public, the public should have access to them. We believe that we have as basic a right to speak on the radio, as well as to listen. And we have a unique opportunity.
When the LPFM window was opened, we were the only applicant in a growing city with a population approaching 75,000. We will make history as the first black-owned radio station in the city. We have already been approached to donate some materials for the local black history museum for people to study long after we’re gone.
