The DEH-X5600HD features an integrated HD Radio tuner

Pioneer DEH-X5600HD CD Receiver With HD Radio

Pioneer Electronics USA is shipping the first eight models of its 2014 lineup of in-dash CD receivers. All can accommodate various ways to tether a smartphone to the dash and access to Pandora Internet audio using an app on that smartphone.

Additional features like integrated HD Radio, multiline displays and customizable illumination provide greater listening and cosmetic flexibility to meet consumer demand, according to the manufacturer. The new models are: the DEH-X6600BS, DEH-X6600BT, DEH-X5600HD, DEH-X4600BT, DEH-X3600S, DEH-X3600UI, DEH-X2600UI and FH-X500UI.

The DEH-X5600HD (shown) features an integrated HD Radio tuner, giving the listener the option of hearing AM/FM in analog or digital, as well as multicast channels with song title and artist information on the display.

The CD model lineup has been redesigned for a more streamlined, sophisticated look and enhanced user interface, according to Pioneer. The outer edges of each receiver faceplate can be illuminated in a different color from the main display and customized to user preference. Nearly all models include fade in/fade out illumination effects to visually represent the receiver powering up or down, incoming Bluetooth calls, and the loading/ejecting of a disc.

The eight single CD receivers are available with suggested list prices starting at $90.
