Renda Donates Pittsburgh AM

WMMY deal leaves broadcaster with three other stations in the market

Renda Broadcasting is donating Pittsburg AM station WMMY to the nonprofit Pentecostal Temple Development Corp.

The broadcaster filed paperwork with the FCC this week on the transaction.

The station on 1360 kHz operates at 5,000 watts day and 1,000 watts night from a four-tower array.

PTDC is affiliated with Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, according to the Trib. The company also owns New Kensington-licensed gospel outlet WGBN(AM), New Kensington, donated by Salem Media.

The donation is considered a charitable donation and the deal leaves Renda with three other stations in the market.
