Streamers React to Artists’ Claims About Music Royalties

Internet Radio Fairness Coalition says it supports growing Internet radio industry

There’s reaction to a letter signed by more than 100 artists opposing the Internet Radio Fairness Act.

The Internet Radio Fairness Coalition, launched this fall with Clear Channel and Pandora as founding members, says that its members and the artists want the same thing — a growing Internet radio industry that helps artists.

The Internet Radio Fairness Act will help accomplish that goal, according to the group.

“We respect the artists’ concerns and are willing to work with them through the legislative process to create a healthy, sustainable, growing Internet radio business that benefits them as well as labels, distributors and consumers,” stated the coalition.
