SXSWfm, the Internet audio portal for the SXSW festival, is using Audio-Technica microphones and headphones for its programming during the annual Austin, Texas-based music, arts and technology festival.

This year’s iteration, March 7–16, encompasses film, media, technology and music, with over 1,700 artists playing live.

“The goal of the channel is to reflect the wide spectrum of sounds you can hear when you attend the SXSW Music Festival,” stated Kevin Connor, SXSWfm programming manager. “It’s all kinds of music from all over the world.”

The station’s DJs and content creators used the AT2020USB+ cardioid condenser USB microphones (shown), ATH-M50 professional studio monitor headphones and AT8035 shotgun microphones.

“The ATH-M50 headphones are dependable, accurate and comfortable over the course of a long day of listening to SXSW artists and producing our station elements,” said Connor. “The AT8035 is not only a great shotgun mic in the field for interviews, but it has also become our go-to mic in our confined voiceover space.”
