Clear Channel’s Total Traffic Network has won a 2013 Telematics Update award for best navigation solution.
The awards recognize leading players during the Telematics Detroit conference.
More than 350 individual nominations were in the running this year for the 10th anniversary of the awards.
TTN delivers real-time traffic flow and incident information with graphics to vehicle dashboards using FM RDS, HD Radio or IP-connectivity.
Its HD technology delivers features like Doppler radar, real-time local and national weather forecasts from The Weather Channel, traffic updates and the ability to deliver news, stocks, sport scores and fuel prices. The information is constantly available, according to the company, even as the car moves through varying signal conditions.
TTN is available in some Toyota and Lexus vehicles as well as through JVC navigation systems.
