Whole Lotta Streaming: Spotify Gets Zeppelin

Company also launches more mobile/tablet services and gains new markets

Continuing its push in user-driven streaming services, Spotify, which began in Sweden five years ago, has launched in 20 new markets this week, making the total number of markets it’s available in 55. It is now available in countries throughout South, Central and North America, Europe, Asia and Australia/New Zealand.

They also announced new services for mobile and tablet, which allow for shuffle play, as well as the availability of the entire Led Zeppelin catalog; an exclusive, the company said.

According to the company, Spotify now has 24 million active users, and more than 6 million paying subscribers.
