WRN Opens Broadcast Data Center

UK-based international broadcast services company expands at London HQ

WRN Broadcast has opened a broadcast data center as part of its London area facility in Vauxhall, England.

The firm said that it constructed the new, purpose-built data center following increased interest from existing international broadcast clients, as well as new clients such as Farncombe and IPWorldTV who operate within the wider media industry. Both IPWorldTV and Farncombe have signed contracts for rack space.

The WRN Broadcast Data Centre offers broadcast companies and related technology and telco businesses the opportunity of secure rack space in London says the company with the added benefit of broadcast expertise being onsite 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

WRN explained that the new facility means that customers can benefit from essential data center needs such as an uninterrupted power supply, air-cooling system, fire suppression, increased premises security and individually lockable racks. This is in addition to the center’s content delivery network, guaranteed Internet connectivity with fiber routing, access to over 3,000 PoPs worldwide and a satellite link.

Other optional services, says WRN, range from monitoring and uplink to archiving and storage.
