Regular readers of Radio World are familiar with the name of Charles S. “Buc” Fitch.

Buc’s a radio renaissance man, radio man-about-town, radio raconteur and more. I’m sure the French have a proper term but I can’t recall it at the moment.

In one of Buc’s past radio lives he was working at the legendary KYW(AM) in Philadelphia, c. 1978. Being the team player that he is, Buc put together some PSAs to promote the Society of Broadcast Engineers. He got well-known Philly radio host Larry Angelo/Larry Angel to voice them. Sadly, no tapes are available but that’s not really the point.

Buc adds, “We did some ARRL ham spots as well at the same time ... Mike Douglas (ever so gracious to do so) voiced those for us.” Radio people have the talent, tools and access to promote their needs and causes. What are you waiting for? Buc can’t do it all by himself.

With no further, adieu, click on each and enjoy.
