AES Berlin Convention Set for Late May

Event, scheduled from May 20–23, is currently accepting proposals for workshops, tutorials and master classes

AES is in the midst of preparation for the 142nd AES Convention, schedule to take place this year in Berlin from May 20–23.

The bi-annual conference — one in Europe and one in the U.S. — is a gathering of audio professionals. The conference offers attendees the opportunity to participate in workshops, tutorials, hear technical papers and discover new technology on the trade show floor.

At this time, AES is still accepting proposals for workshops, tutorials and other non-paper sessions. Information on applying for any of these events can be found here.

AES has also announced a new event for attendee’s entertainment, the “Jazz Meets Classical” organ concert.

The event will take place on Monday, May 22, at St. Matthias Church, where organists Francis Rumsey, chair of AES Technical Council, and Sigrid Erbe-Sporer, wife of convention’s paper co-chair Thomas Sporer, will perform classical themes in a jazz style.

The 142nd AES Convention in Berlin will take place at the Maritim Hotel.
