Intl. Shortwave Broadcast Guide Now Available

Electronic resource offers by-the-hour schedule of longwave, medium wave and shortwave stations worldwide

The seventh edition of the semi-annual “International Shortwave Broadcast Guide” (ISWBG) by Gayle Van Horn, and published by Teak Publishing is now available electronically on Amazon.

The ISWBG provides a guide to the known longwave, mediumwave and shortwave radio stations currently broadcasting throughout the world.

According to a press release, the publication features a by-hour station schedule that includes all language services, frequencies and world target areas. In addition, new features for this edition of the ISWBG include an “Introduction to News and Entertainment Programming on Shortwave Radio,” by Fred Waterer, Spectrum Monitor columnist; a feature on online radio by Loyd Van Horn, former Monitoring Time columnist; and a crash course on shortwave radio propagation from Thomas Hood, a contributing editor to CQ magazine and Spectrum Monitor columnist.

Additional articles are available on who’s who in the shortwave radio spectrum from Loyd Van Horn and a primer on getting started in shortwave radio from Spectrum Monitor managing editor Ken Reitz.

Additional features that are new to this edition are increased frequency and station coverage of longwave broadcasters, selected mediumwave broadcast frequencies used by international broadcasters, and all known international standard time and frequency stations transmitting worldwide.
